Saint Innocent’s new look

In case you haven’t come to Saint Innocent for a while, you may not know that our parish grounds have a new look.

Just before Archbishop’s Peter last visit, Father Jeremiah and the Parish Council focused on the beautification of the property.

Here are a few pictures, but the best is for you to come and see !

2019 Prosphora workshop

On Saturday, August 24, 2019, six members of our parish got together for a Prosphora Workshop.
We started and ended with a prayer for baking Prosphora.
Then, we all worked together to prepare the dough, cut it, stamp it, etc, and exchanged tips on techniques and tools.
It was a very productive morning.
Here are a few samples of what we did:

Prosphora 1

We are planning to do this on a regular basis, let’s know if you would like to participate.

Palm Sunday 2019

With Palm Sunday, we are accompanying Christ and entering with Him the last mile that will end up with the great finale on Pascha night!

Here are pictures taken during Palm Sunday Vigil – with the blessing of the Palms.

And during Palm Sunday Divine Liturgy:

It was also Emmilia’s first communion:

And the sun was out and allowed the youth to play outside:

Christ is born, glorify Him!

Many parishioners got together to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord.

On Sunday 6, we had an extra opportunity to rejoice, as Karen (Catherine, patron saint Catherine of Alexandria) was received in the Orthodox faith during Divine Liturgy.

Then we had the Vigil of the feast:

On Monday 7, the Church was beautiful and ready:

And then, even Santa came, for the joy of all:
