Celebration of gratitude for Father Jeremiah and Matushka Anna

As before any major event in our parish, we began with a day of cleaning on Saturday.
All was done with joy and quiet, so as not to disturb Mrs. Mallard, who decided this year to nest along the wall of our church!

The big event took place the following day, the Sunday of the Cross and the Feast of the Annunciation.
We had a celebration of gratitude for Father Jeremiah and Matushka Anna, who founded our parish and blessed it for many years. They are now on their way to a warmer climate.

Come this way to listen to Father Jeremiah’s homily, and here to watch the parish sing Many Years to Father and Matshuka.

And a Lenten meal followed:

Spring 2024: new beginnings

During this Spring 2024, our parish has been experiencing some new beginnings.

First, we received, blessed, and inaugurated our beautiful new lectern.
We purchased it thanks to a generous donation in loving memory of Reader Edwin.
The lectern is now in the church area where Reader Edwin served our parish for many years:

To begin Great Lent, we met during four days to pray the Great Canon of Saint Andrew of Crete.
At these times, our church seemed on fire:

On the first Sunday of Great Lent, Dash was received into the catechumenate:
